What are Supplemental Education Services?

• Supplemental educational services (SES) are FREE tutoring services that must be offered to low-income children who attend a Title I school that does not make AYP for three consecutive years.

• SES services offer students extra help in language arts literacy, reading, and mathematics.

• SES services are provided outside the regular school day - before or after school, on weekends, or in the summer.

How do I know if my child is eligible?

Your child's school district is required to notify you if your child is eligible for SES. Generally, your child is eligible for SES if he or she:
